About YEF.

Youth Employment Fund (YEF) is a non profit and non governmental Organisation founded on the 25th of November 2005 and legalised on the 1s t of December 2006 under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation (MINATD) with registration number 001265/ADR/JO6/APPA.
YEF main objective is to fight against poverty as outlined in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 2015 by reducing the rate of youth unemployment. This is done through the following approaches as outlined below:

Career guidance This includes career planning, management and diversity. The rate of youth unemployment is alarming because of our poor educational system. Youths are not well guided on what to do at the elementary stage. Thus, they are bound to study or pursue their education blindly. That is why you find lots of graduates and undergraduates rooming the streets.
YEF seeks to guide and direct youth on this domain. Hence reduce youth unemployment. This is done through career courses and workshops.

Training; this is the root cause of youth unemployment .Many youths are rooming the streets because they do not have the necessary skills or professional training. As its major target The YEF seeks to empower or train youths especially those that are underprivileged after guiding them.

Placement; after a good career guidance and training, youths who are unable to create their own small businesses are placed to work in private institutions.

YEF also offers courses on leadership, entrepreneurship, so as to enable youths become better leaders and know how to manage their own activities after creating their own small businesses in their domain of specialisation.

YEF assists youths in the creation of personal enterprises this implies, job creation to gain self-employment. This is through YEF Minnie Grants Awards.

YEF organises Awards for employers which is entitled YEF Employers Awards. This is done in order to boost employment in the private sector.
